Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by Robin LaFevers
"Or at least the appearence of true caring, for I am well aware it could all be an act. An act designed to earn my trust. And just like some poor, dumb rabbit, I stumbled into his snare." - p.g. 262If you read my Reading Plan post yesterday you would have already seen my thoughts on this book at the present. I think this is a book people will enjoy but it turned out to be on a topic which I don't enjoy. It is a lot more political than the blurb made it out to be. I don't think it is a bad book, I just think it wasn't for me.

Good teaser! Sorry this book didn't work out for you, but sometimes that's just the way it goes.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you. While I loved the writing and the idea, I think Ismae didn't live up to her potential. I felt she got lost in the court intrigues.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Grave Mercy didn't work out for you. My copy has been sitting on my shelf for a while now; I really need to get to it. Ally enjoyed the book, though.
