Top 12 Books of 2012

Where has time flown. Another year has gone by.

Here is my list of the top 12 books that I have read from 2012 linked to reviews if they are available. Some of the books were originally rated 4.5 stars. Those are initial ratings. Sometimes 4.5 books can still leave a lasting impression. These are the 12 books that left a lasting impression.

Top 10 Books of 2012 ... So Far.

I know this seems like a bit of an odd time to do it. I should have done it in the summer or halfway through  the year. Oh well better late than never. These are the top ten books I have read in the year of 2012 up until this point. The books that have stuck in my mind since I read them. By the end of the year this list could have altered slightly. We will see what the months will bring.

Monthly Wrap Up (August 2012)

It has been a month already? Oh boy where has the time gone?

At the end of each month I write a post containing all the books that I have read in that month. The Gem of the Month is the best book that I read. If, for whatever reason, I read a book but did not post a review, you can find them posted here along with my rating.

Well, this month we had the Olympics. If you were living in the UK at the time it was hard not to get swept up in the games fever. Let's say not a lot of reading was done in that time. That was followed by a reading slump. It was probably connected with the games fever. So I got through fewer books than I meant to at the beginning of the month. However, this month ended with a somewhat spontaneous holiday to Spain. The Internet was broken when we arrived so that was six days of lounging around and just reading. I got through 5 books which definitely help bring my count up. As I got through them in a relatively short space of time, they haven't got reviews yet.

Anyway, I am wittering on. Here are the books that I read this month.
I hit my average of nine books in a month, although one I didn't finish so that probably doesn't count.

Stacking the Shelves #13

Meme Hosted by Tynga's Reviews

I cannot believe that it is September all ready! Where has all the time gone?
I am currently on holiday so this week I got a bunch of e-books! Yay!

For Review

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

Goodreads

I believe this book has been available for a very long time in the US but has is now being published in the UK by Mira Ink in October. I like the sound of this one. It seems like a light fun read.

Thanks to Mira Ink and Netgalley for the review copy!

I have not heard of this book before coming across it on Netgalley. It looks pretty interesting. Plus I love the cover.

I bought both of these books because I was reading the sample. And didn't want to stop reading them. Therefore I have already read both of them. I highly recommend Hushed. My review is HERE!
