Waiting on Wednesday #25

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, showcasing books that we are waiting to read.

Title: Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Device #3)
Author: Cassandra Clare
Publisher: Walker
Release Date: 19th March 2013

Goodreads - Amazon.co.uk/.com - Book Depository

If the only way to save the world was to destroy what you loved most, would you do it?
The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose.
Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment.
Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the bestselling Infernal Devices trilogy.
Words cannot express how excited I am for this book! *jumps up and down with glee*
I need this book. I need to find out how the story ends. Who she ends up with, if either of them. And to have all the questions answered, from both The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments. Questions, questions, questions, this series is full of them. I love it! *jumps up and down some more*.

Title: Things I Can't Forget (Hundred Oaks #3)
Author: Miranda Kenneally
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Release Date: 1st March 2013

Goodreads - Amazon.co.uk/.com - Book Depository

Companion to Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker.
Kate has always been the good girl. Too good, according to some people at school—although they have no idea the guilty secret she carries. But this summer, everything is different…
This summer she’s a counselor at Cumberland Creek summer camp, and she wants to put the past behind her. This summer Matt is back as a counselor too. He’s the first guy she ever kissed, and he’s gone from a geeky songwriter who loved The Hardy Boys to a buff lifeguard who loves to flirt…with her.
Kate used to think the world was black and white, right and wrong. Turns out, life isn’t that easy…
The release date on Amazon.co.uk seems to be different to that on Amazon.com. I will either get the book in March or April. Hopefully March.

I enjoyed Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker. I love the romance and the deep topics that are discussed in these books. I look forward to continuing the series.

Title: Edge of Dawn (Midnight Breed #11)
Author: Lara Adrian
Publisher: Canvas
Release Date: 21st February 2013

Goodreads - Amazon.co.uk/.com - Book Depository

Twenty years after "First Dawn" - the morning that followed a blood-soaked night where Mankind learned that vampires lived among them - wars and skirmishes continue. Peace between humans and the Breed seems elusive, but the Order and their allies will not rest until it is won. For Mira, raised with the Order from the time she was a child and now the formidable captain of her own team of warriors, the fight is personal. War with mankind has cost her a great deal - the life of someone she loved dearly. Vowed to avenge his death, Mira blazes into every battle like a Valkyrie - until an unexpected encounter with a rebel leader brings her face-to-face with a startling truth, and a betrayal that will cut through her every defence...straight to the core of the wounded woman whose faith has never been more tested, nor her heart more deeply torn.
With the jump of twenty years from the end of book ten, I cannot wait to see what has happened to everyone and to see how the younger characters have grown. Also to jump back into all the Lara Adrian goodness.

Title: The Elite (The Selection #2)
Author: Kiera Cass
Publisher: HarperTeen
Release Date: 23rd April 2012

Goodreads - Amazon.co.uk/.com - Book Depository

The hotly-anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestseller The Selection.
Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.
America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.
Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending.
The Elite is another book that I am really looking forward to. I loved The Selection and I want to see how the series continues. This is another book that I will probably buy the American edition. I don't want to wait until June.

There are many paranormal/dystopia books that have been released recently and I have already a fair few; The Immortal Rules, Darkness Before Dawn e.t.c. and this doesn't look like anything new to be fair. However I have heard nothing but hype. Everyone is raving about this book. Even though I have seen a couple of not so positive reviews, I still really want to check this book out. I have now heard that it has it has sold its film licensing (or what ever it is called), and it hasn't even been published yet. I know that a movie is probably not going to happen anytime soon but still.
