Feature and Follow #15

Weekly Meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
This is a weekly meme where we answer questions and blog hop to find new blogs to follow. You follow me I will follow you back.

Q: What hyped up book do you think was worth all the talk?
There are so many books that I have read because I have heard a lot of great things about them; Vampire Academy, The Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games e.t.c. I read all these books around about the same time. I found them by typing in 'Amazing YA books'. This was when I was starting out in the book community. These series' came up repeatedly.

The first time that I read a book, which I absolutely love, because of all of the hype that was surrounding it (everyone was talking about it) was Divergent. If you have not read that series yet, you seriously should. It is amazing!

Book Promo: Drive Back the Darkness by Amy M. Newman

Hey guys! I am here today to promote Drive Back the Darkness by Amy M. Newham. Any fantasy fans out there? Here is a new book to tickle your tastebuds.

Title: Drive Back the Darkness
Author: Amy M. Newman
Publisher: Etopiapress
Release Date: 14th September 2012

On her sixteenth birthday, Ellie Lyons discovers her entire life has been a lie. She’s kidnapped from her home and left in Alladon, a kingdom controlled by an evil man named Morfan, a kingdom that she was born to rule.
Ellie reluctantly faces the impossible tasks confronting her; like learning to control the magic that now roars through her and burns everything she touches, training to become a lethal warrior, or dealing with the fact that Devin, the guy she is irresistibly attracted to, is actually one of the assassins sent by Morfan to kill her.
Devin has a troubled past; he has spent the last five years tracking the person who murdered his family. He is dark, dangerous, and deadly serious, but Ellie can see the core of kindness shining deep within him, as well as the fear of getting hurt again that makes him push people away. Though Ellie knows her life might be at stake, she can’t seem to stay away from him, even as her feelings become strong enough that they begin to scare her.
Vance, the second assassin and Devin’s best friend, is the opposite of Devin; blonde, charming, seductive. But his heart holds a kernel of darkness, one that makes him dangerously unstable, especially after he realizes that he has feelings for Ellie, feelings he knows Ellie doesn’t share.
Ellie can’t let her emotions for the two men cloud her focus, her quest to remove Morfan from power. When Ellie discovers that the children of Alladon have been imprisoned in a secret factory, Ellie knows she can’t fight her destiny any longer. She must claim her rightful place as princess and fight Morfan, or surrender and be slaughtered. Will she be able to survive long enough to save her people from the Darkness?

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, showcasing books that we are waiting to read.

Title: Boundless (Unearthly #3)
Author: Cynthia Hand
Publisher: HaperTeem/Electric Monkey (UK)
Release Date: 22nd January 2013

The past few years held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner ever could have anticipated. Yet through the dizzying high of first love to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she could no longer deny was that she was never meant to have a normal life.
Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seemed like the best option, so she’s headed back to California—and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.
As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.
In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must choose her fate once and for all
I have love the previous two books in this series. I cannot wait to see how the Unearthly series ends.

Reading Plan #17

On the Blog Last Week
 What I Have Just Finished
Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate
Goodreads - Amazon.co.uk/.com - Book Depository

I seem to be reading rather slowly at the moment. I am going back to Uni soon so I am trying to sort everything out. Nothing to do with the book. I did enjoy this book and I plan to post my review closer to release date.

Currently Reading
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

More by T.M. Franklin

I do not usually read two books at once. I was reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower but I wasn't getting it through it fast enough. I like it but it hasn't fully gripped me yet. I like the story but it is the way that is written. Too many tangents. I have moved onto More for the time being but will be returning to The Perks of Being a Wallflower straight afterwards.

More has intrigued me so far. I am really interested in what Caleb and these people are. It is not all that obvious.

To Read Next
At What Cost by J. Andersen

I received this book for the blog tour. I love books about tricky life situations, such as abortion. I am looking forward to this one.
