Waiting on Wednesday #12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, showcasing books that we are waiting to read.

Title: Defiance (The Courier's Daughter #1)
Author: C.J. Redwine
Publisher: Atom
Pages: 416
Release Date: 6th September 2012

When Rachel Adam’s father fails to return from a courier mission and is declared dead, she is assigned a new Protector, her father’s apprentice, Logan—the same boy Rachel declared her love for two years ago, and the same boy who handed her heart right back to her. With a fierce belief in her father’s survival, Rachel decides to escape and find him herself. But treason against the Commander carries a heavy price, and what awaits her in the Wasteland could destroy her.
Rachel and Logan battle their way through the Wasteland, they discover romance, heartbreak, and a truth that will incite a war decades in the making.
This main thing that intrigues me about this book is the dystopia world. That synopsis triggers my imagination; wondering what it could be like. And of course the mysterious secrets that are being kept hidden. This sounds like a good classic dystopia read.
