Stacking the Shelves #11

Meme Hosted by Tynga's Reviews

I am afraid I have some bad news. I am officially in a reading slump. I do not like this but I have sort of realised this from the beginning of last week. I have been reading less and less and I am getting the feeling that I have to read rather than I want to. That is not good. Hopefully I will get out of it soon. In  a couple of weeks time I will be going to Spain for a week, so if I am not back into the swing of things by then I will on that week. Normally I get back into read and think 'why on earth did I stop in the first place?' Give me time. If anybody has any tips that would be great.

But any how, I did get some books in the last two weeks. Not many as I haven't been book buying in ages.

For Review

Night of the Purple Moon (The Toucan Trilogy #1) by Scott Cramer

From the summary it reminds me of the Gone series. However, seeing as I haven't read that series, it will be interesting to see how this one goes.

Thank you to Scott Cramer for the review copy.

Bought

Losing Lila (Lila #2) by Sarah Alderson

I loved Hunting Lila and I couldn't wait to start reading this book. What I have read so far I have really enjoyed but the reason I have been reading so slowly ... look above. It has nothing to do with the book because it has been great so far. I will get through it.

  1. Ah, so sorry to hear you're in a reading slump! I had a really busy week and didn't read as much as usual, but the feeling is so bad :(. The tip that works the best for me is to read a book in your comfort zone. For me that means rereading Harry Potter :). I hope you're coming out of it soon!

  11. Books look absolutely amazing. I am having similar feelings of readers slump. Usually to get out of this I kind of just take a break from it all. Go do other things, and maybe wait until I get a book I've been dying to read to start reading about. Or I reread a favorite book of mine. Maybe you're awesome sounding vacation will do it for you? Hope you get out of your slump, and enjoy your vacation. Happy vacationing!!!

  18. LOSING LILA is a book that keeps popping out. I should for sure consider it!

And I completely know about a reading slump. I feel like I'm going through it right now. Hopefully things will pick up. Sometimes a break or just reading something you love really helps.

    Have a good weekend!
